Narva
The glorious past of
Narva, historic and architectural monuments on one side, as well as
magnificent landscape, on the other side, make that to be a place
attractive for rest and tourism. Narva-Jõesuu, the satellite town of
Narva, located at a distance of 12 kilometers, was opened as a resort
for Saint-Petersburg aristocracy as early as in the XIX century. In the
first part of the XX century that enjoyed wide popularity among Western
tourists.
|
At present the two towns have the target to receive tourists
from both the West and East. Favourable balneological climate, pine
forest, spacious beach with fine golden sand, cool and clean water of
the Baltic Sea- all these make the coast of the Gulf of Finland
extremely attractive place to be resting there.
